The Infinity War trailer and how Marvel can keep the hype train high without showing anything

22 Lug

Welcome back to my blog.

Another proof of the incredible success of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that they can do whatever the hell they want to with their marketing campaigns.

For the entirety of 2015, everyone was hoping to see a Civil War trailer, and the mere lack of it was enough to generate a huge feedback, so that, when it came out in December, it became a huge sensation. Because Marvel movies have become so successful you don’t even laugh anymore when you find out there’s an upcoming TV show featuring a character named Squirrel Girl.

Now, Infinity War has been shooting for a while, but Marvel barely even showed something. This is because they don’t have to worry, like other blockbuster studios who have to put their plot twists in the trailer to generate curiosity.

Infinity War is going to be something huge, and the fact that they aren’t using such a big event like the SDCC to showcase it it’s clear enough.

See you, next time, here, on the Empty Blog!
