The culture behind a Megazord: the end of Power Rangers

15 Lug

Welcome back to my blog.

Power Rangers is a franchise that always managed to dodge cancellation, despite being this much close and, once, even getting axed.

Those are the times it almost happened.

Now, this is just a “fast” and laconic article, but I wonder if someday I’ll make a normal version.

TURBO

Turbo was such a bad season for the ratings that they had to change everything mid-series, including the cast, and that ended up getting a final chance.

IN SPACE

However, In Space proved to be so successful Power Rangers continued.

WILD FORCE

Disney bought the franchise and wanted to cancel it, to the point of calling the finale of Wild Force “The end of Power Rangers”. It didn’t last.

JUNGLE FURY

It was meant to be the final season, but toy agreements forced Disney to produce RPM.

RPM

Disney did cancel Power Rangers after RPM, but Saban bought it back.

DINO SUPERCHARGE

Had they not prolonged the contract, Nickelodeon would have seen it expired by 2016 with Dino Supercharge.

Thanks for reading this fast article. See you, next time, here, on the Empty Blog!
