Il punto di questo mese di Gennaio

31 Gen

The culture behind a Megazord: 8 differences between Power Rangers Jungle Fury and Juuken Sentai Gekiranger

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

This is another “8 differences between”, in which I compare a Power Rangers season to its Super Sentai counterpart. This time, I talk about Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Will I be able to find 8 differences between PRJF and Juuken Sentai Gekiranger?

Well, let’s find it out.

Jungle beast, spirit unleashed!

The culture behind a Megazord: 8 differences between Power Rangers Samurai and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

This is the 2nd “The culture behind a Megazord” of 2016, and I thought that it would have been nice if I continued one of the most prolific sub-categories of the special: 8 differences between a Power Rangers season and its Sentai counterpart.

This time, I will talk about Power Rangers Samurai and Shinkenger. However, I will mention both Samurai and Super Samurai, as they are two adaptation of the same Sentai. I hope you’ll enjoy!

Power Rangers Super Samurai: are Jayden and Lauren’s powers separated?

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

One of the “rules” of the Morphing Grid is that you can’t have two people with the same set of powers fighting simultaneously, so you either have them in two different time periods (like the Green Ranger clone on MMPR) or you make sure that only one of them fights, or even exists (like Dino Thunder).

However, there seems to be an exception on Super Samurai, as we have two Red Samurai Rangers.

The culture behind a Megazord: the secondary Red Sentai Rangers

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

This article is a continuation of the previous one, as I’m about to talk about the secondary Red Rangers on Super Sentai.

However, I won’t mention these heroes:

  • Aka Red, as he isn’t the secondary Red Ranger of any team;
  • The first Vul Eagle, as both of them were team leaders;
  • Heroes that replace the Red Rangers for a while like the Neo Jetmen;
  • Legacy warriors like the Dairanger, the Gingamen and the Shinkenger, with the exception of the modern Shinken Reds;

Here are the secondary Red Rangers of Super Sentai!

The culture behind a Megazord: the secondary Red Power Rangers

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

Usually, the Red Power Ranger is the team leader, the one who gets the power-up, the most emulated by their little fans and so on.

However, there have been some cases where there was a secondary Red Ranger, meaning that the usual Red Ranger spot was already taken, and they were relegated to second-in-command or even extra rangers.

Here are the secondary Red Rangers.

The culture behind a Megazord: a Sentai team with uncommon colours

31 Gen

Welcome back to my blog.

You know, I like how, after Gokaiger, only one Sentai had a main team colour pattern that was already used, and it was ToQger, who still had an Orange Ranger.

In fact, I like it when an uncommon colour gets its time to shine, which means that, every once in a while, we can see Green, Black and even Pink or, in one case, Yellow taking a break for a year in favour of Orange, Violet and Navy Blue.

Speaking of that, here is my personal Sentai team made of rangers with uncommon colours. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
